We are seeking a focused, talented individual to join our surveying department.

After training (if appropriate) you will be required to visit commercial and domestic client sites, conduct surveys according to PCA Codes of Practice procedures, draw-up reports to the property style, calculate estimates, meet with clients commercial as well as domestic, and answer technical queries. You will also be required to prepare COSHH, Risk assessments and method statements.

You should demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work on your own initiative. You need to have close attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and multi task. You must be computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must hold a full valid driving licence.

Job Purpose:


To undertake site surveys and produce accurate reports, in house style, on findings.   Our surveyors are this Company’s sales team and as such play an essential role in the success of the organisation.


Routine Activities:


Visit sites, conduct survey according to CSRT, CSSW procedures, draw-up reports, meet with clients, answer technical queries.  Contact customers to check receipt of report and to try and ensure an order is placed.


Other Activities:


Occasionally program work or assist CONTRACTS MANAGER to do so.  Very occasionally undertake certain specific and skilled aspects of contracts.


Standards of Performance:


Very high standards of performance are required from our surveyors.  Excellent communications skills are required for face-to-face meetings with clients, the ability to turn-in reports on time, and accurately is essential.  All surveyors must sit and achieve the CSRT & CSSW examination.  Attention to detail is essential, as the ramifications of missing anything may be costly.




Surveying staff are in a process of constant learning, as new technologies and methodologies are devised.  In addition to the formal program of study offered by CSRT & CSSW exam, surveyors are expected to continually self-assess themselves and seek guidance on areas of weakness.
