Japanese Knotweed

Over the past few years the presence of Japanese Knotweed has come to the attention to mortgage lenders and homeowners alike as an invasive weed that can be difficult to control.

The Property Care Association (PCA) has recently launched an invasive weeds group and prepared a code of practice for the management of Japanese Knotweed to offer guidance to affected parties and help maintain standards across the (Japanese Knotweed removal) industry.

The PCA recently held a 2 day seminar, delivered by Prof. Max Wade and Dr Mark Fennall who are leading figures on the subject matter, which our surveyor Graham Bright attended. The feedback was impressive:

‘The presentations were very informative and enlightening, laying to rest some myths and fully explaining the recently launched code of practice.’
