surveying and advice from Anglia Property Preservation

Our qualified and experienced survey team undertake more than 500 inspections each year. Many of these assessments are requested following the more general survey undertaken prior to house purchase.

Our survey team can arrange to collect the keys to a property from the estate agents and carry out the inspection independently, although we encourage clients to attend the survey if they wish.

The surveyor will produce a report explaining the context of the survey, a brief description of the property and details of any problems discovered. Our surveyors each have over twenty years' experience in the industry and are not paid commission. We have a reputation for thoroughness and honesty in our reporting, and our team are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Many houses suffer from a combination of problems ranging from a localised infestation of woodworm to more serious defects including flooded basements and severe rising damp. These conditions, if left untreated, can result in an unpleasant and unhealthy environment and even structural damage to the property. Where treatment is required the report will contain an estimate for undertaking the work and details of our long-term guarantee scheme.

The PCA website underlines the importance of using a qualified surveyor:

Accurate diagnosis of damp and timber problems in buildings is essential to ensure appropriate remedies without unnecessary use of chemicals and undue expense. The PCA has always promoted training for surveyors.
