Repairing and protecting properties for 40 years
Cambridge-based property care company Anglia Property Preservation (APP) has again been honoured at a top industry event, after taking both an industry award and a professional training title.
APP, based in Great Eastern Street, secured the project of the year accolade at the Property Care Association’s annual awards ceremony, held at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium
The company also saw a member of its staff, Graham Bright receive the Student of the Year title in the Property Care Association’s surveying qualification, the Certificated Surveyor In Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) at the event.
The project of the year award was sponsored by Natural Cement Distribution Limited and judged by an independent panel consisting of Graham Perrior, Head of Standards at the National House Building Council, Douglas Kent, Technical Secretary at the Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings, Roman Russocki, Chief Executive of TrustMark and Geoff Lister, Chairman of the Cross-Industry Apprenticeship Task Force.
The CSSW Student of the Year award was sponsored by Delta Membrane Systems Ltd and celebrates the highest achiever in the class of 2011.
The PCA Awards reward the cream of UK businesses working in the building preservation and protection sector and in the four years since they were launched APP has regularly secured a place in the winning line-up, taking the Customer Focus accolade in 2011 and a commended accolade in the Training category in 2009.
Keith Barker, a director of APP, received the award. He said: “The project involved the waterproofing of a basement in a high value property in Cambridgeshire and we were delighted our work on this scheme was recognised.
“We are also delighted that Graham’s hard work and commitment saw him take the CSSW Student of the Year.”
Stephen Hodgson, general manager of the PCA, said: “APP has consistently been recognised in our awards over the years for its work on site, the development of its staff and its approach to customer satisfaction. It’s a superb achievement.”
