An HO Canadian layout by Ely MRC member Martin Spence TO BOOK THIS LAYOUT PLEASE CONTACT MARTIN SPENCE
Monte Creek is a real town on the mainline across the rocky mountains in British Columbia, Canada but the layout is totally fictitious. The idea is to recreate a scene where the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) runs down one side of the valley and the Canadian National Railway (CN) on the opposite side. CP Click thumbnail to view CN
The bridges are scaled down versions of the real ones, three are scratch built, one a wooden kit and the fifth a plastic kit by PECO. The mountains are made from polystyrene covered with dental plaster. Rolling stock is either CP or CN mainly from 1970's to the present day although occasionally steam from the 1930's may be glimpsed. All stock is ready to run from Athearn, Walthers, Kato, Roundhouse and others. Click thumbnails to view Exhibition details
